As promised earlier in the week, Gordon’s Mars talk and performance at the new library in Newport (sorry, I had said earlier that it was the Blyth Hall) on Monday 29th June 2009 was a great success. Fife council provided evaluation sheets to the members of the public and here are a few of the comments:-

 Gordon giving a talk.

“Very interesting and the mixture of music and talk worked well.”

“Entertaining”

“Well done, very enjoyable, worth repeating.”

“Excellent, an enlightening talk, interspersed with appropriate songs.”

“An interesting insight into a period of our local history. Well  worth the long journey.”

“I enjoyed this event – interesting, relevant subject matter and the enthusiasm of the author combined with his own songs and the invitation to contribute to ongoing research.

Thank you, I will look forward to future events.”

“We are delighted with these comments and I’m sure you will be to.” (Liz Rosser, Fife Council)

This is now a few times Gordon has given talks on the Mars and he has met great reactions at each.
